iscover a vibrant one-of-a-kind quilt panel created by Anitha N, in collaboration with Shakirambi of Gunjavati. Measuring 53 x 88 inches, this textile artwork unfolds like a garden in purples and pinks — full of rhythm, movement, and improvisation.

Some of the fabrics originate from the Kaffe Fassett Collective, their bold designer prints now reimagined through touch, intuition, and community craft. When exhibited in Birmingham, the quilt drew the attention of designers who recognised fragments of their own patterns given new life in this expressive composition.

Within the panel, deep violets meet flashes of orange, magenta, and blue — a lively dance of colour and geometry. Squares, crosses, and scattered pieces move in quiet dialogue, creating a balance that feels both spontaneous and intentional. The purples pulse with warmth, while the pinks shimmer like light filtering through cloth.

Through her hand-stitching, Shakirambi transforms design remnants into a language of renewal. Every patch carries history; every stitch celebrates care. What was once material for fashion becomes a vibrant expression of community creativity.
